| Today Lovebox announces the return of legendary London-born rapper Giggsto its 2019 Main Stage with a performance on Saturday 13th July. The UK star joins an incredible line-up including the likes of Solange, Chance The Rapper, BROCKHAMPTON (UK Exclusive), Cypress Hill performing ‘Black Sunday’ in full (UK Exclusive), Loyle Carner and more. From the beginning of his career as a DJ in Peckham to releasing five studio albums, receiving critical acclaim and winning numerous global awards, Giggsis the embodiment of London’s exceptional home-grown talent. Often commended for not only paving the way for UK rap but also bringing it to the international stage, Giggs first received global recognition after the release of his debut album ‘Walk in Da Park’ and then receiving an award for ‘Best UK Hip-hop Act’ at the 2008 BET Awards.
From there, the UK music icon went on to sign a deal with XL Recordings and release four more studio albums – ‘Let Em Ave It’ (2010), ‘When Will It Stop’ (2013), ‘Landlord’ (2016) and his latest album ‘Big Bad’, which he released last month. Since the start of his career, Giggs has received four MOBO Award nominations for ‘Best Hip Hop’, ‘Best Album’ and ‘Best Hip Hop / Grime Act’ and collaborated with international stars such as Drake, Lily Allen, Lil Yachty and more.
Giggs will perform at Lovebox on Saturday 13th July. Other Saturday artists include Chance The Rapper, Four Tet (DJ set), BROCKHAMPTON, Action Bronson, Charlotte De Witte and many more.
