PLACEBO’S BIGGEST EVER UK AND IRISH TOUR STARTS ON 25TH FEBRUARY, HERALDING A TWO YEAR PERIOD OF INTENSE ACTIVITY FOR THE GROUP
BAND TO DEBUT NEW LINE UP: BRIAN MOLKO, STEFAN OLSDAL & NEW TOURING DRUMMER MATT LUNN
Placebo will embark on their biggest UK and Irish tour in recent years, starting on 25th February with a sold out show at the Olympia in Dublin and ending with two nights at Hammersmith Apollo in London on the 24th and 25th March. The tour will allow fans to catch a glimpse of the band’s new line up, with old friend, and former Colour of Fire drummer Matt Lunn, joining the fold as the new touring drummer.
Former drummer Steve Forrest, who joined the band in 2008 and has toured with them over the last two album campaigns, is leaving to pursue his own musical ambitions, the departure is amicable.
Brian Molko and Stefan Olsdal would like to thank Steve for all his work with the band and wish him all the very best in his future career.
The February tour prefaces an intense period of activity for the band who will shortly be announcing various projects which will stretch over the next two years.
