‘If eyes are the window to your soul, then Wavy The Creator knows exactly how to keep the world at a mystifying distance with her permanent shades-up look’ – Vogue
Today Nigerian artist Wavy The Creator reveals the brand new video for her single ‘Body Deep’ via Disturbing London and Parlophone Records. The video, premiered by Grm Daily, follows Wavy as she moves around a futuristic house party set in London, year 2032. The official video for ‘Body Deep’ was directed by Meji Alabi (Giggs, Swizz Beatz, Wizkid) and filmed in Peckham’s Safehouse 2 studio space. Of the video Wavy says: ‘I have never recorded a record like this so I was pretty excited to experiment with this sound and it came out great… it’s one of those feel good songs you hear in the club or the best party ever, it keeps you going and you cannot but bop your head to it. The visual had to be spectacular. It’s almost like you’re partying in an alien world, with the best alien ever…’ ‘Body Deep’, Wavy’s first release of 2019, was produced by acclaimed Dutch producer Spanker. It follows her 2018 release ‘Shaku’ – a unique, upbeat take on the popular Shaku African dance style, which was premiered by British Vogue. Watch the video for ‘Shaku’ here – https://bit.ly/2QablgR.
