ONE MORE NIGHT – OUT NOW
Today (2nd Feb) singer-songwriter Tim Gallagher releases his new single One More Night, available now across all DSPs via Relentless Records.
One More Night is a classic heart-on-sleeve song, penned when Tim was just 21 years old, which he posted online only for him to swiftly pull it down again due to his disappointment in the reaction it received from his then small, but growing fanbase.
Fast forward a few years and it’s a different story entirely, the track became a firm fan favourite on his recent sold out UK tour, followed up with a tiktok teaser just before Christmas to Tim’s new army of social followers (+646k tiktok / +258k Instagram) that now includes Shawn Mendes, Sharon Stone and Channing Tatum.
Tim says of the new single, “One more night is quite literally one of the first song’s I ever wrote. It was an innocent teen heartbreak song, which caught me off guard when people coming to my gigs started requesting I play it at every show. The demo has since become my top song on streaming platforms, so reacting to the demand I’ve created a 29 year old version of a 21 year old me heartbreak song.”
One More Night will form part of Tim’s forthcoming Growing Pains EP, a deeply personal collection of songs that documents his relationships, struggles with severe depression and subsequent recovery with the help of family, loved ones and his own hand crafted music.
About Tim Gallagher
Born in 1993, Tim was raised in Crewe, but it’s Manchester that has influenced him the most, immersing himself in the culture from an early age and moving there to work for a homeless charity. He started busking in the city centre, playing old classic soul tunes that he was raised on alongside covers of current hits. Honing his craft in public, Tim progressed to regular open mic nights, notably at The Whiskey Jar in the Northern Quarter, where he found his spiritual home, on stage, in front of an adoring audience.
An only child, Tim’s youth was normal, active and happy, filled with football and music. However, everything changed when he was diagnosed with a chronic illness aged 18. Affected both physically and mentally, Tim tried to carry on but eventually stopped performing and going out completely; he became reclusive and quickly fell into a deep depression which lasted 3 years. Alongside the support of his family, therapy sessions and medication, Tim found it was his own music, his written material and songs that were the catalyst for his recovery. He started self-releasing songs; 27 in 12 months!
However, it was when the pandemic struck and everything stopped that Tim turned to social media, specifically tiktok and Instagram. He soon realised the untapped potential of playing to people from his home. Performing regular sessions on the platforms he won round a brand new army of fans, but this time they stretched across the Atlantic and to Europe. Tim quickly amassed an impressive social following (+646k tiktok / +258k Instagram) and it was this activity that caught the eye of Relentless Records (Headie One, Bad Boy Chiller Crew, Tom Walker) who signed him at the start of 2022.
Since then, he has had a run of singles including Altar, released last July which became the soundtrack to millions of people’s summers after a high profile sync on ITV’s Love Island and Growing Pains in December 2022.
